Some forty years ago the region of Konavle became a very accessible and popular tourist destination due to the construction of the airport and the Adriatic Tourist Road. Cavtat has soon developed in a strong tourist centre. It offers the natural beauty and a high quality accommodation in well-equipped hotels and private accommodation, as well as a rich sport and recreative, cultural, entertaining and gastronomic offer. In Konavle many excursion centres have developed. Among them the traditional gastronomic offer in "Konavoski Dvori" near Ljuta river, Čilipi with its folklore performances as well as fishing village of Molunat that offers the possibility of pleasant vacations in the peaceful and quiet environment. The submarine area of Cavtat and Molunat offers the rinds of roman shipwrecks that took place two thousand years ago.
